A long time coming...
Well it's been more than two months since I last updated, and I apologize! I'm about to update you completely though, so here it goes... the end of June meant conclusion of Psychology and Web Development... Psychology proved to be extremely interesting and gave me some very good concepts for understanding people. Our final project for web development was to design a full website, which I'd like to post. We had to do it on a club or restaurant of our choosing, so I did it the Ghost Bar, a beautiful club, bar and resturant featured on the top of a Las Vegas building 55 floors off the ground.

For the month of July I took a leave of absence from the school and went back home for a month. Did it for a couple of reasons... the 1st being that I needed a break from the intense schedule, and the 2nd being that I needed to rest myself mentally so that I could get inspired and driven again. It was an awesome chance to catch up with family and spend time with them. It was hard to believe I had seen some of the people I ran into for almost a year. Other than my immediate family, I also got to see aunts and uncles, cousins and 2nd cousins.
Some of the things I did while I was home:
Spent the 4th of July on Lake Winnespasaukee watching the fireworks from a boat on the lake.
Went to Water Country with some of my best friends, and had fun! ( Water Country, have some fun! ) That we did =)
Went to see the Portland Sea Dogs with skybox tickets. A major food provider of the mount Washington Valley area shared the booth with us and were really friendly. They gave us plenty of free food, pizza, ice cream, etc. Since David Ortiz (of the Red Sox) was on his rehab assignment, he ended up playing, which was very exciting! He got on bases a couple of different times. Me and my friend Andy managed to start a couple of stadium-wide cheers for him, which was awesome to see spread. Before he left in the 5th inning, he tipped his hat to us... yeah I love Big Papi!
Went on a canoe trip down the Saco river with a group of 20+ of my friends. The day was sunny and perfect, and it had been a long time since I've done anything like that. Was definitely relaxing.
Went mini-golfing with my brother, pretended to be pirates for a day! He almost beat me a couple times. I had a lot of fun hanging out with him... it's hard to keep in touch with him these days and moments like those really count. I'm glad to see hes doing good these days...
Saw the Dark Knight with Ian and Logan. What an awesome movie! Especially in IMax! It was really cool to be able to hang out with Ian again, I hadn't seen him for a few months, and we're always too busy to keep in touch it seems. I didn't really get to hang out with him as much I wanted to, but it was a good time.
Spent PLENTY of times getting to see my friends again while they were home for the summer. It was really refreshing to see some of faces I've missed for so long. Thanks to all of you for providing memories!
It was actually kind of hard to believe I only spent a month there, I did a good job of staying busy and doing a lot, so it was definitely time well spent. Sadly I wont be able to take another LOA until I graduate, so I'm in for the long haul now...
With that said, I'm obviously back in Orlando now. It was weird coming back here... completely different environment, people, and expectations so it took me a couple days to adjust. I'm all settled back in now, and got an intense schedule to welcome me back home!

Class descriptions:
Flash Fundamentals - This class is the next stage in our animation curriculum. Flash was described to us as the most popular platform for web based animations integrated mostly with websites. With over 90% of the browsers in the world supporting Adobe Flash Plug In, it's easy to see why. With a good knowledge in Flash and Actionscript, we'll be able to create nice web based animations. Definitely looking forward to being proficient at this, although my skills in coding are somewhat limited. Projects will include a flash banner, and a flash website.
3D Arts - Part of a 3 month long curriculum, 3D Arts is meant to get our foot into the door of creating digital 3 dimensional sculptures and enviroments. The application for this kind of art can be seen everywhere from movies, to tv shows, to video games. It is a critical part of next generation media, and I absolutely cannot wait to start. Our first project is to make a 3d enviroment. We've begun pre-production and planning as part of this 2 month long project. I've decided I want to do a really detailed and excellent looking alleyway, focusing on the darkness, and urban style of the alleyway. Ultimately we will be using 3DS Max to model all these parts in 3d, then use Photoshop to create texture and color maps to wrap them with.
Well that pretty much concludes my activities for the last 2 months. Sorry about the lack of updates, but it wont happen again! I have a few more things to say, so check back soon!

Woah man, you have a packed life. Nice website too, looks like an awesome place. And (N00b question) whats the difference between iMax and standard cinema? I wouldn't know.
