Feel Good

This month's schedule:

Monday - Physics Lecture : 1:15pm-5pm Physics Lab: 9pm-1am
Tuesday - Digital Audio Design Lab: 9am - 1:15 pm DAD Lecture: 5pm-9pm
Wednesday - Physics Lecture : 1:15pm-5pm Physics Lab: 9pm-1am
Thursday - Digital Audio Design Lab: 9am - 1:15 pm DAD Lecture: 5pm-9pm
Friday - Physics Lecture : 1:15pm-5pm Physics Lab: 9pm-1am

I can already tell Physics will be a struggle, I'm not a Math person at all. At least in the previous Math classes it was stuff I've seen before, but not this time around. However, Physics is all about applying Math to real life scenarios, so the visual elements of the class will definitely help put things in perspective.

DAD is pretty awesome. It's an attempt to combine everything they teach in the recording arts degree into a single class. It's so in the future any audio we'll need in projects we can create ourselves without a problem.

We had our first lab today, so we got to mess around with a PC based program called Sony ACID. It's a Garageband type program in the respect that it's all multitracking, so it's a very visual way to create music. It has a huge library of loops to choose from of all kinds of insturments that you can throw together to make a song pretty easily. We had 4 hours to make a 2 minute song today, and it came out pretty good! Thought I'd share it - called it Feel Good.

Finished, finished and finished!

Well it's March, so here comes Physics and Digital Audio Design! Feels good to have a Math class out of the way, but here comes another... grrr. Anyways, for my ADG final I did end up switching up my article, and ended up producing something pretty cool. Here it is:

I got a friend staying with me for a week. He's here to check out the school, and it seems he'll be enrolling by April. Yesterday we took a school provided tour for him to check out the campus. I even got to see a lot of the buildings I've never checked out. Over in the Computer Animation building people are producing some amazing clay models and drawings. In the Film building I got to check out some of the handmade sets that students were creating to use in film projects. Pretty awesome stuff... I also got to meet my student admission rep again yesterday. I only got to meet her briefly on my Behind the scenes tour, but this time I got to let her know how I've been doing at school. She was very enthused to help me, and gave me alot of good advice on how to make the best of my Full Sail education. We'll be staying in touch! Until later...
