Long Day

Well I finally tackled our first project for my Motion Graphics class after a long 10 hours of working on it. We had to animate a 10 second long bumper. I chose to do mine around the logo I developed a few months back, the very name of this blog - Funky Rabbit. Hopefully I'll be able to use it for a future website or something.

Anyways, here it is:

Our next project is to design a poster for a certain concept, and then expand the concept further by animating a commercial in After Effects. This one has to be 30 seconds long though... yikes!!

Additionally, in my typography and page layout class we just finished a project. We had to pick an event and design a poster for it. I chose one of the National Professional Paintball League events.

Back to work... wish me good luck...

Passed!

Another month has (surprisingly) passed, and that means new classes. This also means I passed Physics! Definitely a lot harder than I expected, but I'm glad it's over with. Unfortunately I lost a few friends along the way, due to them failing... oh well. Here's my schedule for this month -

Motion Graphics
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday - 5 pm - 9 pm Motion Graphics Lab - 9pm - 1 am

Typography and Page Layout
Wednesday, Friday - 5 pm - 9 pm Typography Lab - 9pm - 1 am

Pretty weird schedule considering I'm waking up at like 1-2pm, going to class at 5pm until 1 am, and not falling asleep until 2-3 am.

It's back to designing though. No more math! :)

I've already started both classes, and they pretty awesome, more particularly Motion Graphics. In that class we learn another program of the Adobe Suite called After Effects. It's a program commonly used in alot of movie and tv shows, as well as advertisement spots and commericals to add in motion elements and effects. It's 2D based, so it's all based around animating still images to add life. Our first project is a 10 second spot which I will be starting soon. Premise is to create a "bumper" for a company using motion and sound. Can't wait to start it and ultimately show you guys.

Outside school, things have been good. It's been really quiet, as my routine mainly involves going to school everyday, coming home to eat, and going to bed to wake up to another day. I look forward to the weekend so I can kick back and take it easy for a couple days ( which isn't really the weekend considering I get Monday off )

That's all for now!
